Born in the African nation of Kenya, DJ 4eign (pronounced foreign) aka “the African kid”, has become a success locally and overseas as a result of his exploits as a highly acclaimed disc jockey. He has been steadily dominating the club and mixtape scene, as well as Djing for some of the industry greats such as: French Montana, Young MA, Fabolous, Usher, Mario, Juelz Santana, Sean Paul, Elephant Man, Barrington Levy, Mr.Vegas, Kevin Lyttle, and Ayo Jay, just to name a few.

1. describe what you do? (in the entertainment industry)

radio host / Club Dj / Tour Dj

2. What is the state of the culture ? (World culture & or hip hop culture)

The world is a much smaller place thanks to technology and people are showing their creativity through it (especially during covid-19). Hip hop culture is allowing almost anyone to make a living off hip hop again thanks to technology. Young kids dont need much to make a hit...shoot a dope video and have a hit. Because of this technology the culture is open to good and 🙃”bad” talent. 

3. When/How do you think things will get back to normal ?

Not sure when things will return to normal...even after things get back to opening up its going to take a while for the economy/businesses to bounce back. Im still comfused on what/why im ducking something that i cant see.

4. How have current events changed your situation ?

Luckily for me on one side im fortunate to be considered a essential worker cause i work on radio which entails me providing information to the public. The unfortunate side like many others ive lost revenue from my weekly club gigs etc

5. What do you think of liquor/weed dispensaries staying open and being considered “essential”?

Weed I understand especially if used as medicinal. Alcohol not soo much. 

6. Recommend a place to visit in MA or a food spot.

Plymouth in the summer is def a spot to visit. 

7. Suggest an APP or piece of equipment for creatives to use to create content.

YOUTUBE can teach you anything about anything! 

8. Could you recommend a fashion store/spot that has fire low key ?

Concepts in Boston. 

9. What do you have going on/coming out next?
